Caroline Farberger is a 51 year old transwoman and CEO at a Swedish insurance company. On a Thursday in the fall of 2018 she informed her colleges that she identified as a woman and came to her workplace as a woman the day after.
Now she have received a prize by a Swedish lgbtq-magazine for the lgbtq-person of the year. The prize was delivered by the speaker of the Swedish parliament.
Caroline was asked if her position in the business sector affected here transition.
When it comes to such personal things as the identity itself, position plays no role. I felt that I had to live my life the way I am, no matter what the consequences would be in different parts of my life. I am happy to say that I can continue my life with everything intact from my old life, answered Caroline.
In an interview with a Swedish newspaper, Caroline tells how her wife Ylva led her on the track to what was wrong.
Ylva saw how I suffered without understanding why. In the end she asked outright: Would it be that you want to be a girl? "

"Overwhelming! The moment I saw myself in a dress and neat makeup was clean and cut euphoric happiness. It was like I first saw who I am, not the one I expected to be. All of a sudden I saw a person who was beautiful!"
Caroline also has lots of support from he wife Ylva.
Ylva and I love each other deeply. We will continue to live and live together as married and have a relationship form that works well for us, says Caroline.
