The third boob

I weigh about 155 lbs, 5'8" tall, and I am generally happy with my weight.  For reference, I have been on HRT for over two years.

I have a "third boob" - my stomach bulge - that is annoying and affects my clothing choices.  I know I need to watch my meal portions, and my posture could do with some improvement.  Even sucking my gut in, the bulge is still there.

Any tips for getting rid of it?  I can't afford to lose anything from my actual boobs.  They are small enough (A cup) already.

@KathyLauren
Dear Kathy:
I wish that I had workable and successful solutions to recommend other than continued exercise...
I know that you are already an active woman and enjoy hiking and even working around your property.

Your weight and height are not out of proportion for sure.
The only other thing that might help is sit-ups and elliptical training at the gym... or at your home.

I have a good friend that has the "third boob" issue and she is not overweight at all but in her case she is pre-diabetic and her doctor told her that she is insulin resistant and thus the "insulin bulge" issue which may contribute to her "third boob" ....

Wishing you well getting rid of that... with summer coming you don't want to display a muffin top with the more revealing summer tops and lower cut pants and shorts.   You might want to rock a bikini this summer!!! :o

Hugs and best wishes,
Danielle

I have a small one as well. I find it disheartening. Mine, while it also has a layer of 'girl fat' is mostly bloat from gluten intolerance and IBS. If I ate strictly within my proper diet I'd be anorexic  :(
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

I found sit ups while watching TV to be helpful.  Now that my waist is thin enough I've been doing more stretching exercises instead. My BMI has been around 20 and I've been able just move the fat around.

Yes - I've got the tummy bulge as well. I've lost a lot of weight over the last six months (215 lbs --> 165 lbs), and while my natural waist is down to 32", my tummy is at 34". I have decent fitness levels and both run and play tennis twice a week, but the tummy is still there. I'm thinking of adding some core focused exercises plus some ab focused exercises.

I did low a low carb diet 20 to 30 grams a day and 30 minutes of cardio 4 to 5 days a week.

Belly is flat!  Boobs shrank.

I've switched to injectable Progesterone and increased my carbs and have maintained my weight.  My boobs did get back up to a B cup.

To keep my blood sugar levels low at night I drink Organic Apple Cider Vinager with "The mother."

You can also drink it 20 minutes before a meal while losing weight.  I did do that.  I'm at my weight goal so I quit doing that.  Only at night now.

Those are my recommendations other than a Brest augmentation.
I've taken what others have offered, so now I'm giving back.

Many women have a tummy bulge. Depending on what caused the bulge, surgery or liposuction may be an option.

I have lost over 100 pounds and I needed a tummy tuck to get rid of that bulge. If your bulge is just subcutaneous fat, then maybe liposuction is all you need. A good consult with a qualified plastic surgeon is a great place to start.

Got the tummy also.  If lost a bit and would be happy at my current weight if I could move the still excess tummy to my boobs and butt.  I'm going to attempt that by getting down about 10 more pounds then putting half of that back. The idea is that with the proper hormones now, new fat will go where it belongs and not back to my gut.

I'd think if you're still at A cup, there's not much fat in them anyway so you won't lose much if any from there if you try to loose your tummy bulge.

Hey Kathy,

A couple of things.  Your posture looks very good in your profile pictures, but I find if I'm hunched over it makes my stomach stick out more.

I would also suggest a low carb high fat diet.  Make sure it's good fats like coconut oil, olive oil, avocados, butter, lard. Stay away from seed oils. Giving up bread was the hardest for me.  I only ate long fermented sourdough but when I recently gave that up, it's been rather remarkable, my stomach is really starting to flatten out.

Also make sure you get lots of fiber in your diet.  Gut health is really important and you need to nourish the good bacteria in your gut.

Be very careful with sit-ups. The idea is they strengthen your core but they can actually hurt your back.  There are much better ways to strengthen your core but that doesn't get rid of visceral fat.  Exercise is extremely important for health but your diet is much more important to fat build up.

Good luck,
Paige :)

The third boob could be a gift. What about using it for fat transfer to breasts or hips and bum?  I am considering this before SRS. Some women dont even have the fat available to have this as an option.
I would love to hear your take on fat transfer as a procedure.

Kind regards, Kirsten.

Of course I am going to say something to make you sick. I watched Dr. Pimple Popper yesterday for the first time. This man came in with what he called a boob on his side. It even had what looked like a nipple. Dr. called it a limpoma and cut it out. After that she had to play with it a bit. It was sooooo groos.  I know this is not the same as your problem and you might look into cool sculpting.

Kathy,

I can really relate with where you are at. I'm 5'6" about 155 and I can't lose the stomach bulge.  It is hard now to even lose weight.  I've been on HRT for just over 2 years.  My weight started to go up and I got that under control but I can't really lose any either.  I'm about an A or AA in the breast area so I too don't want to lose that.  I ride my bike a lot and I thought that would help but...

Dawn mentioned cool sculpting and I have thought about that.  Not sure how to get rid of the gut.

I saw that one, Dawn. I think on a thread referring to a third boob, your topic shouldn't be that out of place.I wonder if we took our bellies and tattooed  a nipple on it, would guys see it as a turn on. Anyone know if cool sculpting works and if it is expensive?
I got as low as 155 lbs 3 years ago. Multiple surgery recoveries later and I was at 180 lbs. I'm down to 170 now but I gotta tell ya, GCS will put the weight on you if you don't watch it. I hope for 160 by end of summer. By the way 3 pounds of that gain was boobs. And I'm sticking to that story. lol
If I ever offend you, let me know. It's not what I am about.
