Well this year has been a year of firsts (and seconds) for me.

Accepted and came out as trans.
Started HRT
Contracted the flu (second year in a row the flu shot didn't work.)
Ended up in the hospital with acidosis.

I always tried to drink plenty of fluids.  Before I decided I wanted HRT, I had read up and knew about the side efects of Spiro.  I Thought I was taking care of myself.

So A lesson about being on Spiro, and then catching the flu;  even if you think your drinking enough water, drink some more.

Came home this morning.  ;-)

I've been on Spiro for thirty years and my kidneys are starting to fail because I can't drink enough water. Add to this, I am also on Lasix so I pee like a racehorse.

One of the major reasons I pushed for my orchi was to get off of spiro.  The stuff was starting to mess with my head, and I was not even that long on it!
A live without T after the orchi, just being fueled by E, is great!

I'm glad I'm on dutasteride and shouldn't need spiro.
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

Started HRT April 17, 2019.

Kate you can transition on a E only regiment.
Spiro is not for everyone your health should come first
I tried spiro at the start but it became life threatening to me so I ive been on E only
You may want to look into that and see if that might suit you better

I hope to get an orchi.

It's just that the most important relationship in my life is still struggling.  Until she's fully accepting of me, I'm holding off going there.

I realize it may ultimately blow up in my face.  However, until we go one way or another, I'm intentionally holding back.
