Hello all, this will be my introductory post. I'm an MTF, I plan on transitioning but have not yet started the process. I'm currently talking to a therapist, she's really nice. I'm single no spouse or kids. I love to read especially cookbooks. I actually have two huge textbooks about cooking! I'm a little nervous of transitioning, it's a little scary. I've done my research so I know what to expect, witch will help a lot in the future. And last but not least one question. I know that as a MTF I wouldn't be able to give birth to a child. So I was wondering if there was still a way to have a child if I decide I want one.

Hello!

Yes, it's possible. You can have your sperm perserved in a sperm bank and later, through artificial insemination (of a woman with an uterus, of course), become a biological parent. My endocrinologist asked me about this on the first appointment, but I already had all the children I'd wish for, so I did not do it. But yes, it's perfectly possible.

Warm regards,
Sarah

Dear Kristian:
Thank you for following the LINK that our lovely member @V M  and I gave to you in our Welcome Messages last weekend on April 27 to come here to the Introductions Forum to tell more members here about yourself.

Now that more members know of your arrival on the Forums, you can expect more interaction with other like-minded members that you can exchange questions and comments with.
You may find that you will make some new friends here on the Forums as you get involved... but only be involved as much as you feel comfortable doing.

In the Welcome Message that  V M  gave to you on the first thread that you posted on, you will find important and informative LINKS that will give you the rules here on the Forums and information that will help you to safely navigate around the Forums.   Please pay special attention to the LINKS in RED, answers are there that most new members will ask.

Again, Welcome to Susan's Place.
Best Wishes to you.
Danielle
