Well i started at 108.5 KG mid April 2019 The GP told me i have just about high in cholesterol, and my BP still needs medicating. So having left surgery i set myself some goals as i feel awful. First Goal was to get under 100 Kg by end of May 2019

9th May down to 101.1 Kg - Bought a fitbit and walking now 11000 to 20000 steps a day, i do 15 mins on a vibrating plate with 5 Kg weights on each hand. Then 15 mins on treadmill and 10 mins on bike. Played squash for first time in years on 10th and was not physically exhausted after an hour.
Eating chicken, fish most nights, or make a chilli from turkey mince which last 2 to 3 days as contains more beans than mince. Substituted all potatoes and rices for veg and more veg. Actually having porridge or special k with yogurt breakfast. Wrap for lunch with chicken or salmon. NO SNACKS or Sugars except my 1 glass wine before bed :) Drinking 3 litres of water a day
Dropped down 3 inches of my waist so far.

Goals :
Well i used to have a 28 inch waist when i was 22, can i get close to that again ? I would love too.
End of June 95 Kg
End of July 90 Kg
End of August 85 KG - BMI level good and start Hormones - Hope BP is good and Cholesterol is under 5

End of December 75 KG

Hi Kalandrina,

It isn't easy, but my waist is within an inch of what it was when I was 30 years younger and 20 pounds lighter!  I was really underweight back then. I'm now at a normal weight with a bmi around 20.

Good luck with your weight loss and exercise program.  Mine is mostly in the yard, as I grow all sorts of flowering shrubs.        I've also been exercising whenever I'm watching television.

Congrats on the weight loss.

Weight loss can so dang hard! I've started intermittent fasting and I feel that it helps. I have not lost weight, but my scale says that I lost fat and gained a tiny bit of muscle. Muscle is smaller and I will take it. I am trying to lose 30 pounds myself. I think it is 13.5 KG that I need to lose.

I really like my Fitbit. the heart rate is ok, but not exact but it is a good estimate. The food log is easy and is ok, but you probably already know this. I learned when I started tracking my intake that I was eating about 3,500 calories daily. I dropped it down to about 2,000 to 2500 and still can't lose weight.

Apparently I will have to bust my butt to lose weight.

I practice strict portion control.  I love candy, but don't eat it out of the bag or box.  I count pieces into a bowl, to  avoid overeating. I'll also eat it while cooking,  Similarly, when I get home after shopping, I'll carefully measure out portions for cooking later.  And only cook one portion.  An exception is meatballs,  I'll cook a dozen meatballs and eat four of then each night.   How much I eat has the biggest effect on my weight,

Thanks for the kind words.
Just trying to stay under the 1000 calorie a day mark when possible, but never go over 1400. Burning on average 2500 to 3500 a day :)

That is great!

I've noticed that exercising has moved my waistline so that it is right below my ribs,  above my belly button.  At my age  don't do a lot of it like younger people.  It is more for range of motion and flexibility.
