Hello! My name is Shay. I am from California and absolutely, positively, love everyone and everything. I cook, and study, and tackle all of my problems with the goal to succeed and overcome them. I also fall in love basically every other month and because of this I get heartbroken about as frequently. You can find me flirting with people in my class, or staying up all night studying physics or chemistry.

I'm currently pursuing medicine, with the goal of being a medical researcher. I came out as trans mid 2017, but have been adamant about getting a sex change since 2011. I have a family that supports me (although can be insensitive at times), and friends that love me for who I am.      Greetings, it is wonderful that you have decided to become a member here and that you have started posting in the Forums.
     
    As you continue to post on the forums you will be able to exchange thoughts and comments with others that are experiencing many of the same things that you are.   I expect that you will be getting many members offering their thoughts and suggestions as you continue to post here. 
   
     For sure this is the right place for you to be to find out what others may have to say that may have been in your circumstances and with your questions and concerns.

Thank you both so much for such a warm welcome.

To be honest, I've stayed back a lot reading about a lot of people struggling through things I did, asking the questions I needed to ask. I wanted to be a part of this community. Maybe to help ask those questions that someone else may have, but definitely to join in on the discussion, the fun ones and the serious ones.

The last paragraph seemed poorly structured, and that's probably because I'm really happy.

Are there any forum features that most people typically overlook when they first join, or features that took a while for you to realize that they were available to you? I didn't even know about the hobbies section until after I registered.

Wow Shay, welcome to Susan's Place.  I love your attitude for life! There is not enough love being spread around in the world, but people like you make up for it.
