I got my first letter yesterday for gcs I have a meeting for my second..
Then a ton of homework lol.  The psychiatrist I saw want a letter from
My nephrologist approving me for surgery.  As well as what is required in hospital.
Everything is covered by my provincial healthcare plan in Canada.
So my surgeon would likely be doctor brassard in Montreal but
Due to my kidney disease I might be sent to a surgeon in the USA
If the hospital in Montreal in unable to treat renal patients if something
Unplanned where to happen.  If a hospital in the USA where gcs is
Able to treat me more easily and that surgeon is Also comfortable with renal
Patients.  Then I'd be sent to them instead Likely with a choose of a few different
Surgeons..  the main thing is regardless of surgeon.  They most have a nephrologist
On staff .  So it's a bit more complicated my nephrologist and have spoke about it
She has her concerns.  Her biggest one is spirolactone and she doesn't want me on it m
More then a couple of years

What you reported is obviously very good news, and I am very happy for you that your journey is about to progress to the next BIG step.

Wow, what you described is quite a tricky gauntlet of seemingly necessary tasks, doctor consultations, insurance inquiries, etc.....   I will you well as you navigate these complicated waters.

I will be eagerly following your updates as you continue on your quest for GCS.

Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle
