Thanks Emma I can say the same for you. Chrissy yes same engine as in early Range Rover from a 50s Buick design. Most cylinder engine I have worked on is a Jag V12, PIA to change spark plugs as it takes over an hour!
 CBA again this morning, my bed was way too cosy!! Still dull and damp, not heard back from the guy that want electrics sorting. Not that bothered but could have been a nice bit of folding.

I had a customer who was restoring an old dragster that took 2 v8 motors and hooked them crank to crank with a special ignition to keep them firing at the same rpms. Not sure if he ever completed the project.

Now thats proper old school stuff!! The new battery charger works and I repaired a VW indicator switch that the wires had been cut off, good job the wires were in an ignition switch housing.

It is nice when things get fixed.

I need to put it in the post but my back hurting again and cant stand upright at the moment, might be from the 13hrs I was in bed. Yes woke at 6 and put radio on then fell asleep again!! Sinus blocked as well and now its clearing (pass the tissues) so with it only just above freezing I am staying in again. Roll on spring.

Got some fresh air today and walked up town to post that parcel, resisted the temptation to go in the small supermarket to see if any "bargains"! Hot Rod club get together tonight, bit of a trek to the pub so my mate said he would give me a lift from his place. That will save some fuel, back at his tomorrow to do more work on the hot rod T.

Yes, 27 T glass body with a 540 HP 427 small block. That will be "fun" on the road!! Well hot rod club meeting last night was well attended, Sue came as well. She is JMs wife, the one that was building the T before he got dementia it was good to see her out and having a good time. Not gone to Nicks today as he was behind in some jobs so nothing for me to do, we arranged to move my car next Tues so hope the weather forecast is right! I was naughty as had dinner (small bowl of curry) before going but it was burger night at the pub so I had a cheese burger. Now this was a proper burger ,2 thick (like nearly 1/2inch each) patties with cheese either side and loads of fries with dipping sauce and a pint of larger for £12.50. Discount price for burger night, we decided that we will meet every 2nd Tues of the month and then we have the breakfast meets as well.
 So "stuck" at home again, clothes wash on and might make a veg pie filling later. Could be some chicken added when I do shopping tomorrow. Now going to watch Bad Chad you tube I missed last night.

You won't keep that in a straight line!  Can you imagine the torque with no weight on the rear?  Wowser! The 427 design is fantastic, but a stroked 350 puts out the same power with less weight.  Not that that matters in a T-Bucket.  That 427 just looks huge in open bay engine compartments.  That fiberglass body isn't intended for comfort either.  Not that the Model T was ever known for it.

I love the car crowd too.  I've never built a rod.  Although I am envious of the creativity and skill it takes to build a custom.  Always seem to gravitate for smooth and quiet done as original or resto mod/originals.  I did opt for custom pipes on the 210, just like would have been done back in the day.  The 235 six isn't fast with its column shift 3spd, but it is very drivable, burbling down the road.

The 427 is a small block made by Blueprint, also the T has a Jag independent rear axle.

Good choice!  I have three Jags.  That independent rear is the bomb for power transfer!

Is there anybody there? Bit quite on here today! Made a chicken and veg pie, bought a cooked chicken and 2 rolls of short pastry. Used up odds and ends of veg from the fridge and made a white sauce with a chicken stock cube in it, pastry just fitted the bottom of my large Pyrex oblong dish. Layer of chicken then filled it with cooked veg with the sauce on top followed by the pastry lid coated with egg. Had some pastry left after trimming  as well as some of the cooked veg so made a veg pasty. Had 1/2 with my dinner, that was the last of the turkey Jalfrezi.

Peeing down with moisture again and cold but not cold enough for snow thank goodness, Debs rang me and then face timed me. She ended up going to the eye department at hospital with myopia, they said how did you manage to walk in like that as it was a reading of 90!!! and if she had left it a bit longer she would have gone blind in that eye. Shes a bit like JFK and not trust doctors but good job she went, I gave her a telling off!! J and C are there looking after her so she is well looked after.
 Proper late getting up this morning, by the time I showered and washed my hair it was 10.15. Playing chase the vacuum in a bit and wash some towels.
