Mum rang, my car wont start. Well I was in no state to go and look at it so I said I will look in the  morning and if it still wont start I will give you a lift so we can shop.

Well mums car started, she had "flooded" it by starting it and moving it about 2ft and then turned it off. When she tried to start it as it was cold it still injected more fuel, all I did was give it full throttle and keep turning it over to clear it. Called in at aunt and uncles as mum had to pick aunt up now her car was going, uncle has lost his "granny" phone. I want a better one he said, aunties going you wont know how to use it (true!) but he insisted and was looking at pay as you go android. Auntie had to say okay we will go to the phone shop and look. I just shook my head, they are a right pair!
  Not much food shop today as away next week, will be a mega shop when I come back of hols. Fish curry to make now and green beans to go with it to use them up before they go bad. Only carrots and potatoes left in fridge and they will be fine till after hols.

Quite the experience.  How aged is the machine?  Still has a carburetor, who'd a thunk it.

My ex never could get it figured out, how not to flood the cars on cold start.  I can't (okay, maybe I can) how many times I had to rescue them in that way.  The best carbs to avoid that are Zenith, Stromberg, SU.

Never could get dear old Dad to go to a smart phone.

No its 96 with 4 point injection but the computer will inject fuel to the temperature out side, I have seen this before so got to the point of asking folks if they had just started it and then shut off after a few seconds.

Something new for me.  I thought I was beyond surprise.
I just taught my partner and my kids not to touch the fuel feed on start, warm or cold on the fuel injected machines.  I've actually done that myself, just once, flooded from brief start.  Just run the starter in 10 sec bursts 'til it started.

I don't recall what vehicle it was, but one of them in the User Manual it said to push the accelerator to the floor and hold it. Don't pump it, just hold it while engaging the starter.

That works on Carbs.  Not so much for FI.

It does as it lets more air in and will clear the cylinders of excess fuel. Anyway my fish curry turned out nice, simple as some onion, garlic, ginger, ground spices and tomatoes and once onions are cooked just 10mins when you add the fish at the end.
 Cold today (wind was cold shopping yesterday) but braving it and going to the workshop to build up the 1/2 shafts, up to my elbows in grease then!!

Change that, damn nose wont stop running and back still playing up and I feel cold but its warm in my flat.

Back recovered and nose/sinus as well so went to my workshop yesterday and fitted the drive shafts, now I cant get the suspension bars in that I had to remove to fit the shafts. Mutter, mutter, mutter.
 Anyways forget that as its flat tidy, bed change and pack suitcase day to get ready for a weeks holiday looking after mother (yes she needs "guidance"!) . Off to north Wales Mon to Fri (waves to Sephirah) staying at Llandudno (the 2 Ls make it sound like your clearing your throat) with trip to Conway, Snowdon, Chester and the place with the longest name in the UK. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogeyrchwyrndrowbwllllantysiliogogogoch  , yes I did have to look that up!
 Not sure how well I can post or look on here from my phone so might be Fri before I am back.

Pnaw'n da!* Back from my Welsh holiday in one piece and had a good time, not the best hotel we have stayed at but was only a 2star rating. Back home with case empty and a cup of tea by 3.30 so chance of a sit down, will need tomorrow to recover now! Mum is getting slower and a bit doddery getting around, my legs suffering from standing waiting for her to catch up as well as walking slowly. Laters as need more tea!

I bought a "street Welsh" book, I find I can pronounce the words okay or so I thought but some are hard as there is a column next to the Welsh word with how to say it. My "past life memory" is Celtic it feels so maybe thats why it is familiar ?
 Bought a whole chicken on the way home as well as some other needed grocery's, it was reduced price with yesterdays use by date. It will be fine in a curry but not decided what yet, was thinking about a whole baked one but its to big to fit in my casserole dish that the recipe says use. Having a ponder.
 Nice to have a good nights sleep back in my own bed, now just waiting on my legs to recover!

Well the chicken is roasting, made a yogurt and spice paste (Masala Chicken) and slash cut breast and thighs to rub the paste in (before Lori says anything the chicken not mine)
