Different brands:

Plus I think Amazon may sell the Shanker brand.

I think she meant something in the Semtek / C-4 high explosive category.  ;D

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Well best laid plans and all that, was going to move the Austin tomorrow but C has an emergency dental. Rearranged for Wed now, C is always negative about stuff. We cant move the other car out the way with flat tyres (they are rotten) ,well we moved it before!

So repaired the wheel skates and oiled them, jacked it up and refitted them and then pushed it out the way on my own!! So much for C saying we wont move it, did use a long crowbar to get the front to move. What is the saying "give me a long enough lever and I can move the world". Filled a bin bag with rotten carpets and trim, leaf mould and broken glass. Just hope we get this all moved before the rain later today.

Well that went relatively easy, Hereford in mums garage and Countryman back in the workshop. Panel van back on mums drive as well. Help from 4 hot rod club friends was much appreciated. Mum took her car for annual inspection (MOT) and it passed once they fitted a drive shaft gaiter clip, one less think for me to sort out then!

Some days want to make you "kick the cat", had one of them mornings. Had to turn around and go the other way out my road as work truck and flashing lights behind it, no working in progress or road closed sign. Went up the high street and got blocked by a lorry then once past the road work temp traffic light got stuck behind some numptys doing 35 to 40 MPH all the way to town. Every one getting in my way in supermarket but they had some of the Indian Chai and ginger tea I like so got 3 packets. Got to the till and my Ap didnt want to load, took ages. Stuck behind some more "have to drive really slow folks" on the way home as it had rained a tiny bit (oh my god my car will skid of the road, no it wont!) but will trade that for the parking space out side the Chemist so I could get new patches.
 Home and relax now, ahhhhhh

I totally can identify with your day Davina.  I call them "cluster" days. They are like magnets for every stupid thing that can annoy you, all on the same day.

Wine and beer were created for such days!

Davina,

A "chemist" is a pharmacist in your country?

It is interesting that in some European countries that if you go to a drugstore you likely are going to a sundry or general merchandise store.  To get a prescription filled, or even many over the counter medicines, you have to go to an apothecary.

Well bit of an upset this morning, took me an hour to lever the lift under the Austin and get it set up. Then I checked the size of the drive shafts I had shortened, ********* got that wrong as they are too short. More annoying is the waste of funds. Slightly peed off now, some good anglo saxon words were said.

Too short, drive shaft. Sounds like a common problem many have.   :)
