Well to add to my woes the Countryman refused to start this morning, had to get mum to give me a lift to the workshop. I put a new stop lamp bulb in for her and took down a strip of border that she could not reach. had to use the Yeti to get back home, still in limp mode. Scanner said its the crank sensor on Countryman, that will be hard to get at as only way is underneath.

Home day today, not driving the Yeti unless I have to and D is back from hols tomorrow so he can scan it for the fault. House work to do anyway, bed sheets to wash, vac needs chasing and I have dinner to cook and I will make some green tomato chutney as got some jars from mum.
 Still cant get my phone to connect to download pics, tried another USB lead from my old phone .It charges but laptop still not seeing it connected to download, wish I knew more about this computer stuff.

Modern operating systems are notorious for updating and changing settings.  Maybe you could check when the last update was?  Or just check the settings for connecting to the phone?

The printer driver for my Chromebox broke so I sent in an error report. A couple months later it started working again.

Sorted, it was a windows update blocking it.

Hateful things. They break more stuff than they fix. I had a laptop that ran on windows 7 for like 14 years. Never had an issue with it. But meddlers will meddle. My desktop PC runs on windows 10. It's old enough now that it isn't compatible to upgrade to windows 11, so when the forced updates stopped for it, I was like "FINALLY!". I have decent anti-nasty software so I really don't need windows to keep telling me I am missing critical updates that do literally nothing other than find new ways to knacker your whole system.

That darn muscle spasmed in my lower back yesterday, took me ages to move easy but this morning it has stiffened up. Waiting on the pain killers and cream to work, need to look at the Austin to find out why its not starting. Hard  to test some stuff on your own but have to do it while its not raining, well showers today they said and dry tomorrow before it turns wet for the rest of the week and weekend.
 50 years as a mechanic and all I have to show for it is a load of tools, skills and bad knees and back!!!!!

Day in, back still hurting and cant bend down as pills not helping that much so just needs rest. I peeled the green toms that had ripened and making a pasta sauce to freeze, have enough green toms to make one batch of chutney. I am okay doing this stood upright, okay as long as I don't drop stuff on the floor!!
