Today marks 38 years of sobriety for me. Don't be afraid to take charge of your life if you have lost control.

Dear Devlyn:

I am very proud of your accomplishment.... takes a lot of willpower and personal determination
to kick the addiction, especially staying true to your
personal commitment for 38 years!!!!

Next year at this time I will be eagerly looking for
your 39 year testimonial.

Many HUGS, Danielle

Congratulations, Devlyn!

That is an awesome achievement. Thank you for sharing, wishing you many more years of the same.

Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything.
Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you,
so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.
Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Be brave, be strong.  Try a little kindness.  I am a brown eyed brunette.

Devlyn - what a remarkable achievement! 38 years is incredible!! That's nearly 13,900 instances of taking it one day at a time as well... and that sounds even MORE impressive!

Hope you allow yourself to feel the pride of accomplishment you so richly deserve!

Thanks, Allie! I'll be honest, after this long I sometimes miss the anniversary when it comes around.
