I am a auto mechanic by trade, and most of my life all of my employment has been in the category of physically demanding jobs.

I find that I need to under dress and wear women's underwear or a bra or something that's made for women just to stay focused on work. If I don't my mind wonders and I can think about anything else other than transitioning or doing research on feminine things. Like if I'm not in a nice thong or something I literally can't focus on my work as a mechanic, I end up being on here or other websites all day doing research for something female or trans related.

My issue is that I live in az. It's hot and it's about to get unbearably hot for the next 3-4 months. I typically have to wear some sort of boxer brief compression shorts or leggings so my thighs and other areas don't get heat rash or irritated from the demanding labor of my work rubbing against my work pants.

Does anyone else work in a similar situation and how do you get by or around so that you can still under dress or wear the underwear you want without getting skin issues from your work uniform. Thanks.

I am sure eventually no amount of under dressing will eliminate my issues of needing to move forward in transitioning.

Maybe you can try some low cut panties.  I do not like the thong style.

However that may not work for you while you are working.  So I am of little help, sorry about that.

I cannot imagine wearing a bra in an ongoing, day long work environment where I would likely sweat.  I really dislike having sweat in my bras, and that means I have sweat on some of my other clothing that I was wearing that day.  It is not like I am out for exercise, that wetness is to be expected.

I am thinking of what you could wear under a mechanic's uniform that would not get sweaty.

I have been in the Phoenix area and wow it can get hot and stay hot all night.  Not so much up in Flagstaff or early in the morning in the shade in the Grand Canyon.

Oh I wish you will find some ideas on your underdressing.  If you worked in an air conditioned office, you could wear what most women could wear indoors.

Maybe Davina has some ideas...

Thank you. indo try to wear some kind/style of panties/female underwear everyday. But now that it is getting warmer I have to wear compression shorts or like under armour heat gear leggings that are really light and thin of I don't want my inner thighs and tops of my legs getting irritated over the course of the day and then I get to deal with heat rash and red bumps, which makes me not be able to shave my legs on my normal basis as well. It really does just have a snow ball affect.

Lucky for me the shop dose have ac but it still gets hot in there with the roll up doors opening and closing as people drive in and out.

Unfortunately for az sweating just comes with the territory lol. Flagstaff, Sedona, the grand canyon, and Prescott are all nice areas. We typically leave Phoenix area every weekend and go up north where it is cooler to escape the heat.

This is when I really wished I had a different type of job, to wear I could wear anything I want under my work clothes, or even just more feminine work clothes. But sadly I don't work in an office setting or anything like that.

Sedona is nice.  A good BBQ place is there too.
Prescott is nice.  A good breakfast cafe is on the square (huge pancakes) and a decent pizza place is on the square, but the Italian place about a half mile west from the square is better.
The railroad ride in Clarkdale is fun too.

Being out 100% and working hard, does present some sweaty problems. I still wear my pouch style boxers to ovoid chafing but a moisture wicking T over my bra helps. Some bras are foam lined that are the worst and make me sweat bad. On other areas, wait till your breasts get in the way when you are trying to reach into a tight spot or slide under a car. :eusa_shifty: :eusa_shifty:

They do get in the way sometimes, like when I reach to the extreme left or right, mostly when sitting.  But as mine are not that big, I simply notice some compression on one of them as I reach one direction or another.

It is not like they get smashed.  That happens when I get a mammogram though.

All in all, I am glad I have them.

@ChrissyRyan we love Sedona. Usually were there to hike west fork or one of the other trials. I proposed to my wife under castle rock. It was pretty awesome. She was off in her own world looking around and trying to explain something, I felt like it as on my knee for like 10 min before she noticed and turned around and drop a f bomb. Lol to quote it was shut the F up. Lol. Good times

We've been trying to find good places to eat in Sedona that are not in the tourists spots. But we tend to spend so much time on the trails and the. In the crystal shops that we usually don't want to go to a sit down restaurant at that point.

She is a az local, grew up in Flagstaff then down here in Phoenix area before moving to Boston mass, and now she's been back out here for the last 10 years.

@Gina P yes. Unfortunately I tend to wear the boxer briefs with pouches more than anything while at work, or if I know I'm going to have to play the role and do strenuous work. My fav brand are ergo wear. They have some pretty good underwear everything you can think of with various pouch sizes and styles as well.

If I wear a sports bra it's typical Hanes or jockey light/middle support moisture wicking and I typically take the pads out since I unfortunately do not have any breasts yet. I do have a large chest but not breast tissue. One day I will have a nice set of breast, home grown lol, and hopefully I'll be able to maintain my fitness and muscle as much as possible. I know strength size and muscle mass all decreases when on HRT and I think that's the biggest mind game and hurdle I have to over come.
