Compliments are so nice

It's amazing how a simple act as a compliment can completely change your day. I was at the shopping mall today doing a little shopping with Gillian.  We stopped for lunch, and while I was in the line-up for food, a lady walked up beside me, tapped me on the shoulder and told me that she thought my hair looked really nice. I smiled and thanked her, and I think that I've spent the rest of the day smiling, what a confidence builder that was.

I would love to receive a compliment like that too.  I find, though, that when my SO compliments me and I'm en homme, I get annoyed !!!  I swallow it quickly and thank her but it is a little sour going down. 

So I suppose it's the "right" compliments, my judgement of them, that make my day.

I had noticed the new picture and hair do a day or so ago. I thought Wow nice look! very professional. Iquestioned was I wrong in that I thought it a new look. It is a very sophisticated look. It fits your well.

Not really a new look it's how I dress for work.  My hair in the picture is a little flat as I had just got home from work.  My hair was tossed and more sassy at the mall

I find that my SO does the same thing... And I have pretty much the same reaction! To her credit she does compliment me en femme so I guess that balances out. But she does try very hard to reinforce the positives of my male self a little to much. I think she does in to keep things in perspective.
