Zach

Hi everyone!

These forums look fantastic...For the last few days I've been lurking around and reading threads. I love the friendly atmosphere around this website, from what I've seen you all seem to support each other and get along and it's lovely to see.

Guess I should introduce myself, so...My name is Zach; I'm an eighteen year old FtM transgendered person from the UK. I've not yet started my transition, although I am out to a few close friends. My parents and I discussed my gender a while back, and though I didn't 'actually' come out I think they probably have a fair idea of what's going on. I'm hoping to tell them definitively in a few weeks' time.

It's taken me a long time to sort my feelings out and discover who I truly am. I always knew something was wrong growing up. It's a regret of mine that I didn't realise about all of this sooner...I'm always conscious of other boys starting transition earlier than me, and I can't help but think that I've wasted a lot of time when I already could be on hormones (I first found out about ->-bleeped-<- when I was sixteen).

Still, it's one of my new year's resolutions to start living as I was supposed to, and come out to my family...after that I can finally start making baby steps I suppose. :)

Welcome to Susan's Zach.

I assume that you have read and agreed with the rules of this forum. They are an important part of what makes it what it is, a place of honesty, learning, discovery, support and respect.
Anyway it is never too late and at eighteen you might be starting sooner than a lot of us!
As you say one step at the time... when you are ready of it.
On this forum you will be able to share, ask questions and find the informations, inspiration and support you might need in your quest.

Go n-éirí do bhóthar leat. Go dté tú slán.
Good luck and safe jouney of discovery, self acceptance and self realisation.

Light, Love, Laughter and Respect.
