Listening to the radio this morning I heard about a heat advisory. I decided to change my plans for today. Instead of driving 50 miles or so to one of the better thrift stores, I decided to just go to the neighboring grocery store.
Congratulating myself on not forgetting anything, half way there I remembered that I forgot to shave. I wasn't about to turn around, so I continued on my way. Today I would just have to be a woman with facial hair. I was letting it grow out for my home electrolysis. I was mainly getting black hairs yesterday. What left is mainly light colored fine hairs, mostly under my chin. I don't think anybody noticed that I have facial hair. Another day to do some electrolysis. Using the magnifying mirror, with the light just above, I will do a few, then turn off the light and rest my eyes.
I decided to make some more pudding, using my 2 cup blender. It has just enough room for the 2 cups of milk. I mixed it up, and realized I forgot to put out my cups. (they're really 1/2 cup bowls with glass lids and wire bail.) That done, the cover would not come off the blender. I have a 2 cup blender full of pudding.
As long as my 1/2 cup bowls were out there, I decided to make some gelatin. Let cool before pouring into the bowls, it will remain liquid until it cools in the refrigerator.
Back in the 1950s going to a relatives house, the gelatin would be made in a cake pan sometimes. It would sit on my lap during the trip. By the time we got there it would be warmed up to a liquid again and would have to into the refrigerator. Of course, I had to carry a cake pan with liquid gelatin into the house. I think later it was in a bowl. As per instructions on the box, peas, corn and snap beans were added to the gelatin.
