Starting to work on the Gothic Witch gown.

That is a 9 inch by 6 inch opening on the front side of the gown. The way the lining is attached to the gown means it is easier to work on the lining through the hole on the front. It had somehow ended up on the floor of my wardrobe. I had thought rodents had damaged it, but how it is fitting together, I now think it was moth worms.

I had remarked to my online therapist about the coincidence that the hole is in the same area as my hernia that bulges. Another coincidence, I'm starting to repair it when in a few days my hernia will be repaired.

Sometimes there are health issues that are dismissed as being normal. I've lived with them for so long that I may ignore them. Watching some you-tube videos, I might see something that connects, for instance the trick knee. Just something that I inherited from my mother's side of the family, since I remember a story about my grandfather having a trick knee. Doing research, now that I have a proper name for it, I can understand the need for wearing boots, and the wrist braces. I even have the elastic knee braces. None of the joint problems have been discussed with a doctor. In fact, The braces would be what the doctor would likely prescribe.
Besides the joint problems, including the back problems, is the hernia caused by a week pelvic floor.

I'm not one to run to a doctor for any little thing. Besides, I would need to go to a specialist for the proper diagnosis. Mostly, a specialist needs a referral.

Dear Michelle:
I always wish to be very careful with medical self-diagnosis when
searching on the internet and youtube.

I'm back home after my hernia surgery. I stayed overnight and drove myself home after picking up the prescription pain killers at the pharmacy. For me staying overnight was by request by me, as I know I have low blood pressure without medication, and a 24 hour wait before I could drive. My blood pressure did drop below 100 during the night, and being in the hospital, I was being monitored and given proper care.
I had stayed overnight after the bladder surgery too, and the nurse there got very concerned when my blood pressure dropped below 100. In both cases I was back up to 117 when released to go home.

Now that the hernia has been repaired, I don't need to hid that bulge, and can tuck my shirt in.

Dear Michelle:

Good news... thank you for your update.
Please be certain take your time and follow your doctor's orders
regarding the necessary rest and recovery time...
...and your temporarily limited activities for your doctor's
prescribed time as you heal.

Great to hear you finally got that behind you. I think you made a wise decision to stay overnight before driving home. Even if the blood pressure were not a concern, your body will feel tired from the anesthesia for a while.

Take it easy and rest up. No roller skating for a while. 😆

Now my body has to get used to my internals being in the proper place. I think there was something about being able stand on just one foot, but not the other if you had a hernia. Like I could balance on my right foot while soaping up my left leg, but could not balance on my left foot, or the other way around. Might be why I wobbled a bit while walking.

Anyway, thank you for your support. It means a lot to me.
