Hello LumiaraMy name is
Sarah B and I would also like to formally, Welcome you back to Susan's Place!
I see that Danielle and Lori have also welcomed you back to Susan's as well.
It is nice to hear that you have been on Susan's before as you mention:
Quote from: Lumiara on October 29, 2024, 11:30:46 AMI used to be a member here way back in my early transition days. Maybe around 2014? Time really flies when you're having fun! 😄
Have you tried to log back into your old account? Danielle our Administrator will help you in that area, all you have to do is send her an Email message.
Like you I was here between 2010 and 2012 and I left to continue living my life and that is generally what happens and that is what I also did before coming to Susan's for the first time.
Quote from: Lumiara on October 29, 2024, 11:30:46 AMA little bit about me: I'm MtF, post-op since 2017, now in my mid-30s (still claiming to be 25 though!), and I've been living in Japan for the past several years.
If you look at my signature at the bottom you will get to know my history pretty quickly! I can also relate to looking younger by 10 plus years! You will have to tell us a quick story about your journey and how you ended up in Japan of all places?
Quote from: Lumiara on October 29, 2024, 11:30:46 AMI've decided to re-join because, over the years, I gradually distanced myself from my trans identity - something that is inherently a part of me. Although, in the past several months, I've been feeling an increasing sense of longing, which has motivated me to rediscover trans-related content and community, share joys and struggles, and keep an eye out for commonalities we have in our experiences.
I can certainly relate to what you are going through. When I changed my life around in Feb 1989 and surgery Feb 1991. I just went out into the suburbs and I was happy living my life privately and quietly like any other women. I was never involved or longed to be a part of the community whatsoever and still do not. .
It wasn't until I came across Susan's Place through the story of Jazz Jennings that I joined the community. Being part of Susan's gave me access to invaluable information I never had before, and it was a place to share my story so others could learn as well.
I keep my past private and I do not share it with anyone except my family and of course members here on Susan's.
Quote from: Lumiara on October 29, 2024, 11:30:46 AMHopefully, I'll find a renewed sense of belonging to the trans community, and I hope you will have me! 😊
I'm glad you are here and willing to share your experiences with us. I've found it rewarding to give back where I can, and I hope you'll find the same fulfilment in reconnecting with this community.
I'm sure you will, I did!!
Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads. I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about members.
In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.
Take care and all the best for the future.
Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!Best Wishes AlwaysSarah BGlobal Moderator@Lori Dee @Northern Star Girl @ New Member as Well
