Terra

Hi, my name is Terra. I'm new here. Peggiann introduced me the this site. And I want to make sure to thank her again. My fiance, Domanick, is a FTM in progress. I've noticed a TON of support groups, and have joined some, for the T's, but this is the first that is actually for the SO's which is what I have been looking for for myself. People are telling me that I'm doing a great job as a future wife to Dom. I do what I can to comfort him when he's upset about things. We are both just mostly looking for all information about what we have ahead of us in this long journey to his completion. I'm hoping to find out what I need to expect as a wife. We have a daughter. I'm not too concerned about her well being at this point. She's very young and mentally one year behind. She's well adjusted and has called Dom "Dada" since the day those two met. Dom has helped me through some tough times. And now its my turn to return the favor. What can I do to be as supportive as possible? I feel like there's always more that I can do. But I just dont know what it is.

Hi Terra,

Welcome to Susan's. I'm not an SO myself so I try not to stick my nose into this section too often but I do like to drop in and welcome new members. There is a lot of information here so I'm sure you and your fiance will find what you are looking for plus lots of friendship, advice and support. So fix yourself a cup of tea or other relaxing beverage, sit down, take you shoes off and set a spell.

Good Journey,

Cassie

:) Thank you all for the warm welcome. I know that I haven't had too much of a chance to come in and read everything. with everything that is going on in our lives it makes it a lil hard. lol... We told my side of the family about Domanick. The out come of it was amazing. My Mom's side of the family was 100% accepting of Dom. That's not so amazing. I knew they would be. They are the loving side of my family. As for my Dad's side of the family. I was very skeptical of how they would react. They've already long since threw me out of the family loop. However, come to realize, the only person on Dad's side of the family who is being a twerp about it is my own Dad. But oh well. That's him. Like I said, there's a lot that's been going on. I got a new job. Which is great. I love it. The sad part is that we have a friend up in Alaska who is badly sick. And to top it off, last week a close friend of Dom's passed away in Alaska from what the dr's said was a heart attack. Dom's friend was a MTF. Had the whole thing done from top to bottom. Dom said that she looked really great as a woman. We're sad to see her go. She held office in the emperial court up there. She was well loved. They're doing a whole bunch of things up there for the memorial for her.

Hi Terra,

It must be a relief to have some of the family told and to have good feed back for the most part. Hun give your Dad time. He'll come around maybe when he sees your ok with everything. After all you are "Daddy's little girl" grown up. He just wants to make sure his daughter doesn't get hurt. Then there is the fact that well let's face it that frog you kissed was supposed to turn him into a Prince. Instead now the white stallion has two frogs sitting on top it's back with crowns on. Not really you are still the princess he raised but he doesn't know that yet give him time. Once typical washes out of his brain and see the loving rleationship you and Dom have and that your not being hurt by it all your Dad maybe more supportive when the initial shock is tamed with time and understanding.

So sorry to hear of your loss in friends. It is hard to go through this part of life no matter what else is going on in ones life. My prayers for more peaceful and calmness in your lives go out for you.

Supper News about the new job. That is always exciting time too. Enjoy!

I've been out for a few weeks sick with the nasty flue bug. All Better now. Just so much catching up to do in our home as well as reading here.

Smiles,
Peggiann
