if you're a person who believes in god, whether of an organized religion or faith. do you consider "Atheism" to be a threat?

yes, there are many more anti-god books. many more out spoken atheist. hitches, dawkins, harris ect. public schools have abolished god. society as a whole does seem to be becoming very secular. . . yet i don't know if that means too much. we do live in a very consumer culture. and i think atheism is "in" right now. like plastic, botox, etc.

i know a lot of people that consider atheism to be a threat these days, yet i don't think it's really all that big of a problem because at the end of the day. . . who really knows anything?

Yep. Nobody knows anything really. I'm surely no scientist, but no theory's concrete.

I don't find atheism a threat, just unpalatable. And I do not believe religion should ever be forced on anyone as it is in some places. No child or adult for that matter should ever be forced to practice the rituals of any religion in school or anyplace else.

A threat? No. Strange? (To me at least) Yes.

I've just seen to much of this world to beleive that there isn't something out there that is keeping us from blowing up each other. But then again, I also beleive that there are multiple deities and that no one  can honestly say their's is the 'right' one.

I am a Christian and no I do not think atheism to be a threat.  I do however think the attitude of some so called churches a threat.

I find any belief is not a threat unless someone takes action without a rational reason.

I see intolerant actions on the part of both some athiest groups and some Christian groups as the real threat.

yes, there are many more anti-god books

Your kidding right?  There are far more books on religion than on atheism.  Its just that a few in the last year got some coverage.

Its the last taboo.  It was OK to be gay before it was OK not to believe.

There are more books about Shakespeare than Jesus.

Perhaps, more on Lincoln too, but given religion on a whole, vs. atheism I bet religion wins.  And not withstanding the number of books on the Bard, the Bible is still the largest selling book of all time, when taken all the different versions together.

no, i dont think that atheists are a threat.  not to me anyway. with my beliefs the real threat is to the atheist after death. as long as you are cool with the possible out come i guess that i am too.  kinda like someone who opts out of a 401k,  except way more far reaching then just the golden years. :'(

No.

What *is* a threat is Christianity's many denominations and independent churches when they wrap themselves in the Stars and Stripes, trash the Constitution as being too humanistic, and call themselves the "Moral Right" when they are neither.
