Accordingly, the committee has assigned quotas to eight constituent groups. Of the 145 seats in the delegation, Hispanics are to get 22; African-Americans 20; lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people 12; young adults ages 18 to 35 another 12; Asian-Americans 10; disabled people and Arab-Americans 3 apiece, and Native Americans 1. The total is 83.
