Geez,Life just flew by. It's been nearly 10 years since I was last on Susan's Place. I do miss being here, and pretty happy to be back.
I remember making great friends here, and great support from everyone while I was searching for answers. Someone I met helped me to navigate everything, from mental health to surgery, and I'm grateful for all the help. We don't talk anymore, but if she's out there.. Thank you, Stephanie

So what's new??

Hard to believe my son will be 21 in a few month, and I'm now over the 50 mark and It's been a ride for sure. Had all my necessary surgeries a few years ago. Everything went great, and couldn't be happier.
I'm pretty excited to be back here, so enough..See you in the Forums.

Hello Deenah,

I'm Lori Dee. Welcome Back to Susan's Place!

I am always happy to see returning members. It sounds like life is treating you well and we could certainly learn from your experiences.

I will tag Danielle, our Forum Admin to see about locating your account. As you may know, the website crashed on New Year's Day 2024. Many accounts, posts, and data were lost. Staff have managed to get things running again, but sadly some accounts were irretrievable.

Some of the site policies have changed too. Pay special attention to the links in RED. When you reach 15 posts, you will be able to send and reply to private messages and add an avatar to your profile. If Danielle can retrieve your old account, this will not be an issue.

Until then if you have any questions about the Susan's Place site and the Forums, please feel free to contact me at   LoriDee605@outlook.com

Once again, Welcome Back to Susan's Place!

Deenah Rae,

Welcome back!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Hello Deenah

My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you back to Susan's Place!

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.

It's so wonderful to see old members returning to Susan's Place.  It sounds like life has been a whirlwind for you and it's amazing to hear about your journey over the past decade.  Congratulations on reaching such incredible milestones both in life and in your journey.  I'm so glad to hear that your surgeries went smoothly and that you couldn't be happier with the results.

I couldn't help but notice you mentioned Stephanie.  I knew a Stephanie as well, but we both left Susan's back in 2012.  Like you, I recently came back after twelve years away and have been here for just over a year now.

You mentioned your son turning 21 soon.  Wow, what an exciting time!  Being over 50?  That's just another chapter to embrace.  For me, I'm nearing 34 years since my own surgery and I still remember how life changing that day was.

What's new here? The crash was a big event, but otherwise, it's the same welcoming, supportive place you remember.  As Lori said, it's always great to see old members return and share updates about their lives.

Danielle might be able to help recover some of your old files if your account still exists.  I'll make sure to let her know, just in case she can assist you.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about old members returning.

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Once again, Welcome Back to Susan's Place!

Best Wishes Always
