Get a tasty deli sandwich!

Take a nice walk!

But get the rest you need first.

Take care,

Chrissy

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

The focus is food, wine and long naps...😊

OK, back in the US.  It was great being in countries where I don't speak the language. I had two weeks of ignoring the news.  I did experience wine, food, the individual beauty of a foreign country, and the genuine friendliness of the local people.  No one hated us for being American.

After travelling for two weeks, it was still good to be home...as crazy as the news is.

Glad you had a good time. Now you will have stories to share with your students.

My grandfather always told me to travel whenever possible. He said you will learn more by traveling than by sitting in any classroom. But when your teacher has traveled and can share her experiences, it's almost the same.  :)

That's true 99.8% of the time. It's only the 0.2% who hate anyone for being anything which get all the attention in the media. Some of my favourite people are American. ;)

Ah yes, the way a subset of Brits learn a foreign language, lol. Speak more slowly, loudly, with a few simple words from said language pronounced horrifically badly, for effect. ;D

"Oi, SINYOR, UNO beer POOR FAVOOR!. I said... I don't think 'e's listenin, Tracy! UNO BEERO In a GLASSO! And wot kind of CRISPOS do you 'ave?!"

I know someone who literally said that and I almost died of embarrassment. ;D

I'm glad you had an awesome time, honey. <3

I always believe you are a guest in some ones country, so act like it and people will be hospitable, act like a tourist and the waiter will spit in your food.  Common courtesy goes a long way.

We were traveling the Basque region on both the French and Spanish sides and you could feel the tourist season starting to pick up.  I think this summer tourist season will be brutal.  You can't blame the natives for feeling overwhelmed.  They have to start balancing housing with tourism.

Common courtesy and common sense are sadly uncommon too frequently.
