Sorry, I put this in the wrong place first time. You'd think after like 12 years on staff I would have grasped the basics haha. Nope!!

...

So... let's try this again. :P

Talking to some folks here, I realised it's coming up on seventeen years since I joined the site. I even looked up my old Intro thread... and cringed massively.

I don't know that I'll actually be here on the date, so in case I'm not... I just want to say thank you. For giving me a life I don't know that I would otherwise have had. Thank you for allowing me to be privileged enough to meet so many different people. Some I got on with... some I didn't. But all I respected.

Thank you for letting me be a part of something for the dark part of my life where just being alive is an accomplishment. Thank you for... being here. To keep a girl company when all her hopes got smashed. It means more than you know. Thank you for letting me see the light in people to know that light still is a thing. And for... well... not wanting to change the wallpaper haha.

I owe you all more than I can ever express.

Thank you.

Lauren. <3

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3

This place wouldn't be the same without you, Lauren. You're like the dinner guest who always brings the perfect bottle of wine, or the perfect dessert. You always have something thoughtful to say. Thanks for joining, and for hanging around.

Lauren, thank you for being here, for sticking around (17 years - Holy moly!), and for sharing your wisdom and encouragement with so many people.  You are inspirational.  The site is a better place because you are here.
