While I was exploring different places before I finally landed here, I ran across a site and subscribed too it. I routinely get an email from them with some useful information.  It is somewhat of just one of the Dr. that want you to pay for services. I have no interest in the service but she will still send resources which are very helpful.
Daily Confidence-Building Actions
🌱
- Affirm yourself daily
- Create 2-3 personalized affirmations that resonate with you and repeat them each morning.
- Practice your voice in safe spaces 🎵 - Dedicate 10 minutes daily to voice exercises; record yourself to track progress.
- Curate a personal style guide 👗 - Identify clothing that makes you feel authentically yourself, regardless of traditional gender expectations.
- Build a supportive circle 👭 - Connect with at least one supportive person weekly, either in-person or online.
- Challenge negative self-talk 🛑 - When critical thoughts arise, pause and reframe them as you would for a dear friend.
- Document your growth 📓 - Keep a weekly journal noting moments of strength and authenticity, however small they may seem.
- Practice confident body language 💃 - Stand tall, make eye contact, and practice taking up your rightful space in the world.

Always  🏃 onward , there's no ⏳ to look  🔙. You are the person you were always meant to be.

Appreciate the post, thanks! Just wanted to say that here as well as "like/thank". :) Negative self-talk can be a serious issue if it is allowed to grow unchecked ... glad that's on your list. That is one of many reasons why Susan's Place is so very important. Many people may not have anyone they trust to talk to and address that issue and get some positive feedback. Here they can get that support. There are so many "visitors" here that never post that I just hope they will talk about that issue, and other issues, with us. I have been down that road and this place was so comforting for me. Like a warm blanket and a hug ... I luv this place.  :icon_flower:

Building your confidence and self acceptance and lifeskills are important, for sure.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Yeah, like Sinclair said, self-talk is probably the biggest thing. We are our own worst enemies most of the time. And if you let it invade your life, it absolutely will invade your life. Because our brains want us on the defensive all the time. And to do that, you have a voice inside that tells you a lot of really bad stuff. I suspect it's an evolutionary throwback to allow primitive people to dodge all the nasty, fangy stuff.

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3

Being on here has been a huge help in my journey. I was so overwhelmed when I realized I was transgender, and I had nobody to talk to, and wasn't talking to anyone professionally yet. This place has been a godsend for me. I feel completely accepted, and validated here.  :D

Keep coming back, there are many here who should be helpful to you and others too.

Positive imaging is usually helpful to me.

Picture yourself helping others, having a good time, enjoying life, looking the best you can, energetic, kind, being successful, learning something each week, and so on.

This can translate to positive behavior and a good mindset, which are desirable.

I have found that I've gained a lot of self-confidence and positive self-imaging through helping to lift others up. Whether here or on other sites, I try to offer words of kindness, of support, of positivity and acceptance In so doing, I help myself block out the negativity that can creep into our thoughts.

With much love,

We tend to measure ourselves against how we've been brought up to aspire to be, instead of how we naturally are. It's checking the difference between the two that drives everything from dysphoria to our mood downward and you've described a very good way of chucking out the ruler :-)

Go girl.

To add further to what you ladies have been saying....

    ... self-confidence, self-assurance and self-appreciation are vital elements
in our success and happiness as we travel in our individual life journeys.

Self-appreciation is more than just feeling good about ourself; it's about
recognizing our worth, acknowledging our strengths, and embracing our uniqueness.
It involves celebrating our achievements, no matter how small, and acknowledging
our efforts as we work towards our goals.

Negative thoughts and negative thinking usually will result in negative results...
... on the other side of the equation...
Positive thoughts and positive thinking usually will result in positive results.

I needed this today, Annaliese. Although 'low self-confidence days' don't happen to me as frequently as they once did, they still happen. And today was one of those days. I didn't pull myself out of my funk, you did (with the help of many others who visit this space). Some people say we need to affirm ourselves. And I agree. But if you don't recognize who it is you're looking at in the mirror, self-affirmation seems ambiguous at best and impossible at its worst. This was one of those 'worst' days. But it will pass. I take great comfort from the knowledge that I can share 'worst' days with people like yourself. And hope I can return the favor on my better days. Which, contrary to the above, happen more often than not.
