Don't forget the boobs

I went through a traumatic experience because of my own naïveté about how trannies are seen by the public, particularly at the very early, pre-hormone, pre-hair removal stage. I'd been in some general interest online community for years. I first came out there and after that became an advocate for trans issues. What I didn't know was that this made me a magnet for a small clique of ->-bleeped-<--haters. When one of the women in my area suggested getting together at a bar one evening in my town, I went wearing a dress. The women there welcomed me warmly, no problems. One of the men was spying for the ->-bleeped-<--haters and reported with derision that I was skinny and flat-chested, straight up and down. And I was like duh, all this time I'd been focused on socializing with other gals from a women's point of view... and had forgotten that men's gazes are inexorably fixated on our breasts.

Once I got HRT, grew some breasts, and began wearing a bra to define my bosom, I suddenly began finding success at presenting as a woman that had eluded me until then. Well duh again.

The thread title can be taken two ways, in a sense the men who are so fixated on a woman's breasts that they ignore her good qualities are boobs.
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride

LOL Well there permanently attached now like my head, some have said I would forget that if it wasn't attached :)

Now in a way I kinda use my breast as a distracter to keep those would be ->-bleeped-<- hatters of guard, if there looking at your boobs there not looking at your face LOL :)

Although I do agree breast are important.
Many TS think women's breast are much bigger than they actually are on average.
Especially, they don't realize that most women with the bigger breasts are overweight
and thus even if they're bigger, they're in fact less defined since the abdomen has fat on it.
The average is 36B in the US (that's for the whole US population old and young).
For the younger population, the average is almost certainly around 34B.
Its becauise the rest of the upper body has no muscles and is thus small that 34B looks much bigger.

TS have a unrealistic assessment of women's breast size. They blame the media. But, if you go on the Mrbreast site, you see that most Hollywood actress is a B cup: 34B is by far the most common size in popular culture icon except a few like angelina Jolie or Brtiney Spear.

Initially, transitioning TS still have this muscle mass which distorts both how much breasts they think they need and the breast they think they have (also, many TS at transition are overweight because they weren't taking care of themselves before (like me) which also distorts breast and band size.

Often, after 6 months, many Trumpet their a B cup, including me, ignoring the fact that if they were at their healthy weight and the pects and back muscles had gone down, both cup and band size would had gone down a lot.

But, its probably better this way, since you get bigger breast quick to balance out the upper body muscles and as they shrink and you get healthier, the breasts with lass fat and underlying muscles follow. In my case, I had a 38B at 6 month, but now have a 34B, which in theory is much smaller, but because I lost upper body (muscles) and adbdomen mass(fat).

When I started, very soon I wore a 38B (and the band was tight so maybe i was a 40A), if I'd stopped there, that would have been quite fine. That's not that small of a band size and its not that big a breasts, yet I was enough for me to pass well. Yet, I hear all the time people TS of this frame (close to 40) that they need C and more breasts to feel like their part of the gang (paraphrased). I don't get it! who do they want to emulate, the average women or the playboy channel bunny?

When I first came out at work, I was told that I was "too far out ... there", and that my nipples were too prominent.  That was one of the ->-bleeped-<--hating females (a flat-chested one, I might add).  Since then, my features have mellowed and rounded a lot more.  My muscle mass is nil, and I've lost some weight.  My once tight-band 40 'almost' C has changed to a roomy band, 38B.   My shoulder, chest, neck, and arm muscles have all gone down to standard female size, so now I'm no longer too 'out there'.  But it seems strange to have some men stare there now.  Actually, I don't care for it at all.  Now, if a woman stares there, it makes me smile :)

I've determined that many men are indeed boobs, and not too surprisingly tend to travel in pairs, one often somewhat smaller than the other.

In my first year of bra-wearing I went from 40A to 38B to 38C... so now I have a lot of obsolete bras in storage...

To be completely honest, the only C cups I can wear are the padded pushup sort. I still have an A- or B-cup body... but C looks better proportioned on my big frame.

I went from 34 AA to 32 A to 34 A, and tend to wear padded 34 As because they look bigger than 'regular' 34 A. I'd want a B or a C cup. B cup for my frame would look fine. D cup would be excessive. But A cup looks rather small >_>

I had no muscles to start with, no fat to start with. Heck some fitness sites judged me as having minus % fat...so yeah I need a bit more fat to grow bigger breasts, probably my biggest obstacle to growing them, now.

I think I've been blessed, I had boobs to start out with when I began HRT. They've just gotten bigger and a hell of a lot more sensitive. :D

Curently I'm up to a 34B, which is amazing considering I've only been on HRT for about 2 months. I can definitly say though that it really helps to have them and I'm really glad thier around. ;)

Joking aside, I'd like if I could gain weight a bit easier.

I went from 108 lbs, to 113 lbs cause I ate a lot (like 4-5 meals plus snacks) for a couple days and now down to 111 lbs cause I've only eaten two meals plus snacks today and yesterday... (including pizza with extra cheese and the snacks were small cake-snacks chocolate and caramel twin small thingies. The brand probably doesn't exist as is elsewhere...).

Now if I could reach 120 lbs I'd be happy, lol.
