MLK Day celebrations in Ithaca Message: Be active, not silent

ITHACA — Two themes emerged at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrations at the Greater Ithaca Activities Center on Monday: Activists committed to change need to actively seek out and listen to those whose voices are silenced in society, and substantive change requires moving beyond activism and rhetoric to long-term organization.
