What???  I had no idea that there were people who didn't like bacon!  Well...except for the obvious...my vegetarian roommate doesn't eat bacon.  It's not just the bacon itself!  What is cornbread without a little bacon grease for flavor!!!  Sacrilege!!!

Speaking of poor little piggies, my great uncle would get attached to them while he raised them and would cry before he shot them.  :'(  Aw.  Did you know that you have to basically look the little piggy in the eye when you do it?  ...not that I've ever done it, but my family is COUNTRY in many ways...for example, my grandmother used to fix biscuits, sausage, bacon, and eggs every Saturday morning.  Yum!

Chef salad with chicken sounds good...yummy.  It just occurred to me that I sounded like a bacon fiend in my last thread!  :o  I'm not, I swear.  :D

But I don't feel sorry for the animals...ever since Bambi ran out in front of my car, that bastard's had it coming!  And all his little friends too!

hehehe.  Just kidding...mostly.  :P

I'm the kinda person that doesn't like bacon!!!

But then I used to, and it's the thought of where it comes from more than the taste that gets me, so I suppose you have a point Ell.

some of the Hispanic people in my neighborhood fry up think chunks of slab bacon and call it chicharron. it smells when it first starts cooking, but when it's done it is so yummy. it's really good served with corn pancakes and coffee. ah!!!!!

Your bacon was chicken?  What was it afraid of?

It was funny to discover this topic, because I'm really not a calm person at all!  I'm noted for being quite angry at times--although it tends to manifest as anger against ideas or political figures, rather than individuals I might actually have a conversation with.  I have rather stormy moods and have to manage my emotions quite carefully.  I'd like to be calm and measured all the time, it's just not something I've ever been able to achieve...

I think the idea is that many of us just seem mild or interact with others calmly.

I have serious emotions concerning world events too.  I have to rein them in and try to forget the world exists.

i have found inner peace and yet, often enough, as you see, i am still a dope.

Hi Ell hon, I have never found you to be a dope, your a smart girl and you have feelings just like the rest of us. You speak your truth and that is it. Sometimes telling what we believe to be our truth to others will not cotton well with some of the others. We all have a different perspective on things. I'm no saint I do that to now and again, or I just speak to much and give more detail then needed. Sometimes it's like drawing a map where you have to point out to some individuals each place you have to travel through to get to the destination.

Dear Rebis you are so right, sometimes we need to retreat within and sending a prayer to whom is in need is about all we can do.

Hi Jaimey. Glad to hear you are well, The last few days aint been the best for me either although I been keeping up with the board, just not posting as much. I have been having problems with emotions, It was not depression it was emotions I know the difference. I had a difficult time putting in my day working at the woman's shelter yesterday. I do feel somewhat better today, just tired. Ok, see ya in a bit.
