Number 3.
I don't like number 1 or 2 at all.  Number two is kind of skanky to me.  And number one could work, but it depends on what you look like.  And there's less you can do with it.

Hairstyles are important to your overal facial structure.........and you need a style that compliments whatever facial type you have.

I made the mistake of straightening my hair (see pic) but I've now found to compliment my own facial shape (which isn't brilliant) that curly hair looks better on me and softens my face more....

I definitely agree with that. Fortunately though both curley (my natural style) and straight look very good on me. ;)

Hairstyle #1 I know would look awesome on though but so would #3...
