I proudly confess...
That I am mesmerized by the cobalt blue sky enveloping the ice-covered apple orchards - that the trees glisten like crystal in the morning sun.
That I will quietly watch the deer that occassionally graze by my apartment building.
That I will spend all afternoon lying on the grass and watch the hawks circling high above - and know that the time was well spent.
That I will spend half the night lying outside staring at the stars and dreaming of what is out there.
That I savor the light, colors and shadows that fall on the flowers of our lilac festival.
I confess that a hug or "I love you" from my son & daughter will brighten any day, no matter how good or bad it was.
That I say thank you to the One for creating such beautiful times, and that the One says "you're welcome."
I confess to laughing aloud with joy at living these moments.
I confess that I am learning a simple truth - that living for the moment is just as important as living for the future.
