No worries, didn't take it as an offense at all.
My voice was always very very high for a male.
Before one of my vocal cord got paralyzed, due to a virus at around 20-21
I actually had my range go from above soprano
to bass which amazed people. Now, my range's less than half that, but still pretty large.
Because of the partial paralysis it takes much more "ear" to keep in tune, especially
in the lower part of my range. My vocal cords don't close fully and go flailing
under low wind volume. That's why this song was a challenge is its not
at all belted and its not that high in range.
The middle of my range was always in the upper alto.
My voice is F0=240, analyzed with a spectrum analyze,
which is above the average female voice, though
its hoarse quality makes it sound a bit lower than it actually is.
