Introducing Laura Isabella

I have been registered but lurking at Susan's Place for a long time.  I took the time last week to visit with a great therapist in the Tampa area.  Laura Isabella is no longer in hiding and denial.  I am a transsexual!  That is something I have been hiding for XX years. (This may be a tell all but this girls is sensitive about birthdays.)

I have found that the "regulars" at Susan's are well informed and willing to share with the new girls. 

Susan's Place really a "how to book for CD'ers, TG'ers, and TS'ers."

Thanks a million to all of my new sisters.  But I owe a huge thank you to Stephanie C. who has held my hand without even knowing it.

Hello Laura, welcome to Susan's.  That is one of the nicest things that anyone has said, thank you so much, but then that's what Susan's is all about .  I've mentioned this before and if nothing else, Susan's is a safe haven for our community were a person does not have to feel threatened or scared to be who they are.  We are here to support and just to simply be there when someone needs a friendly ear or someone needs to rant a little.

I hope that you enjoy your stay, but above all participate where you can as that's what makes this site so strong.

A busy weekend of introductions. 

Welcome, Laura.  I'm glad that you have joined in.  Congratulations on seeing a GID counselor.  I think that is the most important step a questioning person can do.  Our 'pschrinques' don't answer all our questions, nor do they tell us what to do, but they do lead us to self-discovery and self-determination, and they don't hesitate to step in if they see us about to hurt ourselves or our loved ones through our impatience or lack of experience.

Hope to see you and the other new gurlz and guyz asking lots of questions and teaching us old timers a thing or three.
