An anti-bullying bill unanimously passed the state Senate on "crossover day" March 11, but is expected to face hardship in the House, according to State Rep. Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates), the Georgia General Assembly's only openly gay lawmaker.

The General Assembly meets for 40 days each year. Bills that do not pass out of one legislative body by day 30 — or crossover day — cannot be considered for the rest of the session.
