A good cry

I really and truly want sit down and have a good cry. In course of running the site that bears my name I have experienced a lot of pain and suffering. Our individual problems range from someone with a scheduling conflict, people losing or without jobs, people about to lose their homes, all the way to someone who tries to commit suicide in order to end their pain. Each of these problems is a source of pain to those directly involved and to those who dearly care about the members of their community. We each feel the same pain be it in the real world and in our virtual one.

Hearing the problems that my sisters on the Internet are experiencing on a daily basis causes me to feel some of the pain they do. It really and truly hurts inside! It does not however lessen the fact that I want each and every one of them without hesitation to come out and share their troubles, tribulations, their sorrows, and their joy in life with me. The human spirit rises to the situation, it can climb the highest mountains, it can swim in the deepest seas, and it can soar far above the surface of our planet.

Basically what I would like is for each person that reads this journal entry to go out into the world and ask the people they meet more than just "How is your day." Ask them about their pains about their pleasures, about their sorrows and their joys in life. Find out what's bugging the person who sits next to you in the barbershop or beauty salon. Listening is one thing that each of us can do to make the world a better place. Sometimes helping someone can take as little as a moment of your time.

If you have a job available see if any of your acquaintances could use it. If you have a house for rent offer it to those about you. If you have a room and someone is without then consider offering that. If you have an extra dollar or two see if it could be of use to someone. If nothing else offer yourself whole heartily. Be there for someone in need.
