Abraham Lincoln said "A house divided against its self can not stand" during the American civil war. This rings as true today as when it was originally said. We are accomplishing the work of those who share the views of the Rev. Fred Phelps and Pat Robertson. We do this without their having to lift a finger or expend the political capital which would be otherwise required for them to accomplish the same goal on their own.

I have long protested over the widespread use of labels in the transgendered community. We accept these brands which the psychological establishment has sought to mark us with. We have become proud of these signs that they place around our necks. We use our labels almost as a form of greeting, a way to establish our own self worth. These labels speak to us in the silence of our hearts with insidious words. I am different I am unique. I am special. I am not like them.

We know of the differences between CD, and TS. However, we are bound together in the manner in which society views us. This is our common goal, the one which requires that we work together to fix it. The problem is how society views everyone who is transgendered in fact anyone who wears the clothing perceived to be of the other sex.
