Taru, I'm puzzled that they don't monitor the effect of HRT on your hormone levels. So how do they know to adjust the dosage?

Their algorithm is mostly "too much body hair" -> more antiandrogens, "not enough breast development" -> more estro. Most people I know just tell them what dosages to prescribe since the gynecologists don't generally have much experience with mtf hrt.

Well, not much more need to check mine either for that matter, I'm already at the max dosage a lady can get. But I did need some adjustment at first to get the T down and E up. So hormone monitoring was useful for me, at least to begin with.
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride
