I got my surgery because of "intense fear of cancer".

So I go to my GP and say: Aaargh, cancer, cancer, help, remove?  :D
Ah, sounds way too easy.  :(

No Jorgen, you go to your doctor over and over and over and over until your doctor will write any referral to slow down your "phobia" of breast cancer or just you going to his office. Then you go to every doctor and insist it is the only thing that will stop your worries. You will need a family history of breast cancer or at least you need to say you do. You got to really work at it but yeah it is a valid reason for some doctors and you just need to find the one who says yes. Many will say you are nuts and that is part of the rational for doing it.

I haven't had much luck with binders.  :(

I bought a tri-top M, and it's so tight I can't even get it on.

I just got a tri-top and had the same problem.  I could get it just below my armpits (with a lot of pain and struggle) where it would get bunched up and refuse to go any further.  So I went down and got a tight-fitting, slick-material shirt (like a rash guard, or a bicycle shirt) and tried that under the tri-top, and it slid right on with little problem.  Yay!  Of course, now that's one more layer to wear in the summer months.  *Sigh*  But hey, it's worth it.

I think next time I'll try one of the T-Kingdom binders, with the velcro closures.  They sound as if they'll be easier to get into.  Has anyone here tried them?

->-bleeped-<-boy, what about them looking into your medical, pshychowhat'sit history and reading all about your "fetishes" to "change" sex though?

Well, it's obvious that it's harder to breath with a binder, but I'm getting a real problem here:
It's not a professinal binder, I made it myself out of a control-top panty. It's not really tight and doesn't make my cheast as flat as I would like it, even though my boobs are small B-cups at best.
But my point is, while I have no problems with them while standing, I will even get side stich just by stitting longer than 15 minutes or something...

I can't believe that it's really too tight, partly because I really hardly feel it when I don't sit and I know that many of you guys bind much tighter than me and have much bigger breasts... :-\

It may have something to do with the way you sit.  Try to sit up straight as much as possible, because slouching will put more pressure on the chest making it harder to breathe.

Does anyone else pull their tri-top on from the feet? Will that stretch out my binder too much over time?

Geeze... and I thought C's were annoying enough -_-

It's weird... I've been binding daily for almost a year now and I no-longer think of myself as having boobs. Even when they're out and about, I still don't ??? lol

I just bought a binder with velcro from T-Kingdom (M1700 I think), has anyone had experience with a binder like this? :)

Yup :3 That's the first one I bought back in Jan/February. Though after six months of almost constant use, I kinda wore it out lol. Worked quite well, I was rather happy with it. I got the 801 a couple of weeks ago and I find it just as good :)

I've been using duct-tape over a t-shirt for about a year now. I know that It's a pretty bad idea but It works very well for me. I'll be ordering my first binders this week from Underworks. (Double Front Compression Shirt and Tri-top Chest Binder) I couldn't be more excited. I'm hoping that they'll work out fairly well since my breasts aren't really that big.

Once I got the size right I'm happy with my binders from underworks.  My tritop is too small.  I keep trying, but one of these days my kids are going to have to cut it off with scissors, LOL.  And I hate the way it rolls up (I have a gut).

I'm kind of new to this, as you all have seen...

I'm a B now, and I've been relying on a sports bra until just recently where I bought an Athletic Works shirt from Wal-Mart, paid $10 for it. I made sure it was a size smaller then the shirts I normally wear. It's a snug fit, but a comfortable snug fit. When I wear it with the sports bra, my chest is completely flat...

As I said though, I'm new to all of this and I'm still trying to figure out what's good for me.

Hey, if that works for you, thank your lucky stars and go with it. Sure beats paying $40 - $80 and waiting weeks for an Underworks or a T-Kingdom.  :)
