I posted this a while back on my bulletin on myspace. My brother, who doesn't have many friends on myspace so bulletins last a while on his, sent me this message. My own brother, rawr.
"There are a NUMBER of things I find wrong. Not with the idea, but with the fact that you find it needed. Wanting to have representatives, certainly, there is no law barring them. Vote like everyone else does, persuade people that the desired candidate is the best possibility, and you will have a representative. The reason it hasn't happened yet, is that there are only 2% to 5% of the population that is GLBT, and 70 to 80% are sympathetic, but looking for competency more than sexual alignment. Not to say y'all might not be competent, but with such a small group, it is unlikely to find someone equally as competent as the 98% to 95% that isn't, just due to statistics.
The monetary inequality, is due to the average being spiked, by individuals like bill gates, and donald trump, rather than on a true average. in the agrigate, I've never noticed a difference. Hiring discrepancies, possibly, but often as not, people of minorites get hired first. Got work, cya later."
