I love me some Wes Anderson.

I went to see The American with Clooney.... just before Crimbo

IMDb Video Player: The American

Not an easy film.... (my mate I went with didn't like it at all)..... but George obviously has a thing for 'tormented' men seeking love closure...

His performance in Solaris quickly came to mind..... and he's ageing nicely....

Moving on the trailer for this does look great....

So when it breaks in the UK it will be on my bigscreen to do list....

Natalie as an exotic dancer in Closer was very good..... so she has form for the physicality...  :P

Bladerunner and fifth element
In my imagination I see a fair world,
Everyone lives in peace and in honesty there.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.

TG for HBO in dah hotel while in the USA...

Otherwise post surgery i'd be climbing the walls more nuts than usual....two diversions since i've been here were

Repozesshon Men...

http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi3661497369/

Cute Jude Law... in a SciFi thriller.... though if the japs or euro's had done it, me thinks it could have been edgyier/darker...

Dis too i  liked a classic re do...

http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi992805401/

With a great british talent cast... and prodigal son, dominant dad dynamics...lol

I really don't have one favorite but a few of the ones i really like are

The Lords of the rings Trilogy
Chronicles of Narnia The Lion the Witch and the wardrobe
Man in the Iron Mask    DiCaprio's version
Robin Hood        Kevin Costners version
Braveheart
Sleepless in Seattle
You've got mail
and any B type monster flick
Answers are easy. It's asking the right questions which is hard.

Be positive in the fact that there is always one person in a worse situation then you.

The Fourth Doctor

My new favorite movie is "The Trotsky" which was amusing, which I first saw the other day.

Other than that, A Clockwork Orange, Donnie Darko, Be Kind Rewind, Garden State... I can't think of anything else at the moment.

mine has to be either Boys dont cry (typical, lol) or Dog Pound, both amazing films

Have just got back in from seeing Black Swan....

Portman's attuned on-screen unravelling already gaining her the Grammy & BAFTA for best actress so far, I wonder if an Oscar now beckons too?

(And even though it was shown at the local art house movie flick place)..... sadly there were a few groans/snickers at the very  end.... (all male toned) ....which was a shame for me... as I think that as a film it deserves some respect...

But if you're not part of the driven creative world, perhaps the mental aspect is less easy to get?

Personally, I found the story, very moving; sadly apt too as a reflection on the TG state and how we 'chase' that elusive perfection.... trying to beat against all the odds the difficulties and the competition and drive for a brilliant physical success... much as principal company ballet dancers do....

That when we get there, finally attain that command performance..... then what?  :-\

I just saw the ultimate in mind-blowing movies.  Inception.  It is nothing like they lead us to believe when it first came out.

I was going to include Star Trek XI but I think I had already listed 10 movies. ;) Khan and the reboot are my equal favourite Trek movies. I'd say First Contact comes in next tied with The Voyage Home.
