UNITED METHODISTS KEEP MOVING ON GAY AND TRANSGENDER ISSUES
http://www.gaylinknews.com/prdetail.cfm?id=13341The Methodists are coming! Not by horseback as their founder, John Wesley, did in his circuit riding days, when Wesley traveled more than 200,000 miles, but by plane, train, and automobile.
Almost 1,000 elected United Methodist delegates are coming - half clergy and half lay members - from around the world and arrive in Fort Worth for legislative sessions beginning April 23 and running through May 2. Once every four years, delegates and several thousand support staff and observers gather to sing, pray, praise, argue and vote on policies. It is a Christian tradition.
