Early on during transition M2F, I thought that I'd know I'd truly made it when I could do male drag and people not realize that I'd been born male.  ;D

Also, I think Natalie is absolutely right about being confident in who you are to do this.

I had the most ironic thing actually happen to me like that last week. This gay guy I know threw a friend of a friend over heard that I was going for SRS on June 9th -- so, he inquired, and I said, "Yes, I'm getting a sex change."

"Oooh," he said with hopeful eyes, "Can I be the first one to touch your new penis?"

I gave him a bit of a confused look, and then realized he thought that I was ftm. So, I smiled and said, "Thanks hun, that's one of the best comments I had in a while -- but I'm getting a taco, not a hotdog."

"Huh? But I thought you were born a girl..." he stumbled on his words, "Urm, yeah, I meant to say that. Haha. To compliment you like that." He then proceeded to walk away confused for a moment.

It was a cute experience anyway.

Great story Natalie!

Among the highlights of my transition, I once told someone I was trans, and she asked, which way?  ;D
