"It is with deep regret I must report on the sad passing of Sydney
transgender activist Eleanor Lister. After a brave fight with a throat
cancer, Eleanor passed away last Monday April 14, surrounded by loving
friends and family at the RPA Hospital. Her tireless work within the
transgender community will be greatly missed. Eleanor was a vocal and
well-respected member of The Greens political party whose achievements
included the LGBTI Committee and The Ladies Committee."
