Cows in space?  Bovine Mission to Mars?  Its not just a pet, its what's for dinner.

Unlike the wagon train stuck in Donners Pass, we won't need to have one another for dinner.

Well, of course everyone on the mission would have to have multiple areas of expertise. You'd have been the dairy farmer and the philosopher of the first Mars colony.  8)

Maybe I'd have a place in that androgyne settlement we talk about from time to time as well. Among my heroes, during those long ago times, were Charles Nordhoff and James Norman Hall, who flew Spads during World War I and then moved to the South Pacific, where they wrote the Mutiny on the Bounty trilogy. A balmy island climate might appeal to Z, though I don't know about the cows.

Could always shave the cows to keep them cool, or how about a shelter/shade.

That weather appeals to me, everyone wearing next to nothing....  >:D

Just think of me as the professor on Gilligan's island, I can build most of what we would need. Though instead of a radio, I could have built a raft to get home. The professor was smart, but also an idiot.

I always wondered why he didn't just build a raft or boat... Well, I guess if he'd done that all the writers and actors and set designers would've been out of work

Or maybe he was bad at wood working.   :P
Eventually he did build one (reunion special if i remember right), but they had to wait for a storm to blow through to lift it off the island. Ever heard of a dry dock professor? Yes, it would have ruined the story, but to me, it sort of did anyhow, I mean really, they built how many things, but couldn't do that?

Yes, I was a fan of the show.

Typical BBC, you only got the first few episodes, bummer.

If Pica never watched Gilligan's Island it would explain why his IQ is few points more than the rest of us.

And as long as we're on the subject... Ginger or Mary Ann?

Ginger. I was about 7 years old when I first watched, but she was hot.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

Well if you ever get to thinking its too high, nothing works to lower it faster than American Prime Time Sitcoms.

Don't even get me started on Tv.

Actually, lowering it might be nice. It often seems like the more stupid the person is the happier they are. Ignorance seems to really be bliss.

Reality TV might lower one's IQ even quicker >:D

Thus giving credence <no, Z isn't talking about CCR> to ignorance being bliss.

My weird uncle claims he sold bob denver some pot.  Bob denver had a summer cottage near the place my father was murdered when I was a kid.  That was a long time ago.

I've noticed that too except for the poor people who suffer from maladies such as constant anxiety or other mental illness.  My theory is that their brains are not unconsciously struggling with millions of tiny details.

Denver has admitted to doing a few things, particularly that, so it certainly is possible. He was also busted for it.

I came to that same conclusion years ago.

I need an on/off switch implanted in my head.

Rebis, that sounds incredibly traumatic!

Hi Z,

It's definitely been traumatic.  One of my maladies has been post traumatic stress disorder.  That happened 40 years ago.  It still sucks.

However, on the bright side, I feel I have come to terms with that incident for the most part.  All I have in my mind is the present and the future.  I don't dwell on the past.
