"All over the world they celebrate gay pride, and Victoria has never had an event like this,"GLBT director of events Flora Hernandez said. "The closest event was in Corpus Christi, but we wanted to do something like that here for people of this area. It will be a public and family-oriented celebration, and we're hoping it will be a success so we can do it every year."
