Members of Northampton's gay community will hold a "minute's noise" in the town today to mark International Day Against Homophobia.
The event is being held by the Northamptonshire Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Alliance outside The Guildhall at 12.45pm.

NLGBA director Andrew Bewers said: "The minute's noise is to recognise the fact that in 87 countries around the world people cannot be open about their sexuality."
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde
