I have known that I was a woman inside for many years and after 4 years of thearpy I have have accepted who I am. I have been approved for HRT and my electrolsis is going well. I am 5' 7" 135 Lbs and pass pertty well. I love all thing feminine and feel wonderful and relaxed when dressed as a woman; fortunately I am hairless and small boned. I am completely attracted to women and have never had any desire to be with a man. I was out of town a few weeks ago and while I was dressed I ran into a preop MTF transexxual. She was totally feminine and very beautiful. After a few glasses of wine she asked if I would like to come to her place. Well you can guess what happened. We had a full sexual relationship and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Letting myself be totally submissive made me feel wonderfully feminine. A few days later I tried to see if I was attracted to a man and was not in the least. I am struggling with my orientation; and help?

I, too identify as a woman, unfortunately i am still waiting for my therapy and hormones.I, too do not find men attractive either. i do identify as a lesbian woman. enjoy yourself for who you are, if you love each other it doesnt matter. identify as what you want to, when you want to. enjoy bein you with who you're with. all that really matters is that you love each other, nobody should give a crap what your sexual orientation is, because you know everybody's something and you will figure it out. but whatever you choose to be, enjoy it and welcome to Susan's any questions we are all here for you. feel free to pm whenever i'll respond as soon as i get it.

Hi Pam,  I understand your concern but even though its a smaller group of MtF lesbian's to what would be considered the norm (if there is such a thing) in this case (wanting a man) there is enough of us around. Yes I said us, I'm one also I know exactly how you feel its hard enough being MtF and then having another issue to deal with, but please remember you are not alone. You sound like you may be lesbian. If you're not too attracted to men then you would probably identify as lesbian. Hope things get better and you can find out who you are.

As a possible candidate for being a male to female transsexual, I'm largely attracted to women. But there is an exception to my attraction. If the man is a nice guy and looks girlish or androgynous, I'd get ->-bleeped-<-ed by him that is if he considers me beautiful enough. Of course, I'm not beautiful at all at the moment; still, if I did... Essentially, whatever the sexual orientation, there isn't anything wrong with it. Being yourself is much more important than trying to follow some rule. I hope I have helped.

I thought I was a lesbian once upon a time.  Then I met a man that made me feel like the woman I am.
I thin I am bi  but who really knows?  It will all work its way out.

I'm post op and I consider myself a lesbian. I do have friends who orientation did change with the HRT, but so far it has had no effect on me.

Funny thing is, I have a friend whom is an Orthodox priest. Despite his religion, he has fully accepted my transformation. BUT he does not accept the fact that I'm attracted to women and feels I should find a nice guy and settle down.

i think that sexual attraction is more about traits than it is about gender.  sexuality is fluid not concrete so it leaves room for you to be attracted to whomever posses the most traits that you find desireable. 
getting the "job done" so to speak can be accomplished by a man or a woman, it matters who can get you to that point.

Hmmm, I do not think that I was in denial before HRT. For the longest time I only dated women and then I would not date anyone. I did not trust men at all. I had a few male friends, very few. My change happened when I became involved in the BDSM scene. I ended up accepting the guiding hand of a very nice gentleman who worked with me on my trust issues. After that I became involved with another guy in the lifestyle and fell for him, head over heels. Today I have a male Dominant that I see and also another really nice guy who is attracted to me and is also my GF's primary.

Ten years ago when I started all this I would have run away at the mention of things like leather, BDSM, and polyamorous. Now that I am relaxed and just into my own thing though I have found that I am receptive to new ideas and so far it has really worked out for me. I look back at the old me from just a few years ago and shake my head. Way too stressed about trivial stuff and way too uptight for my own good.

However, to each their own. Happiness is what counts.

This is a question I've been wondering about, I like girls If I ever get to do my dream
I dont see that changing. But if the day ever came as a girl myself frankly I'm attracted
to the thought of at least trying it once. From my current viewpoint
it seems to be alot more fun frankly, Or is not having that much fun just a symptom of GID when its not

Katelynne is on to something here.  Sexual attraction isn't just binary choice.  It's a choice of which male things or female things you are attracted to.  Does a woman's figure turn your head?  Her face?  Clothes, shoes, movement?  Interestests, personality, emotions, mind?  Or....if it's what's inside the pants, there's no shame in going with what you like and what you don't!  Maybe you want a certain visible social role, like "being straight" or "being lesbian."  If that is what you feel strongly, then that's ok too.

I think our sexuality can change over time too.  Certainly as grow and discover ourselves, but for those of us who move along any sort of transition, we change, and sexuality is often part of that.

You took the words right out of my mouth.  I am 5' 6" and 120lbs.  I have always had a girl friend as a man, but frustrated.  I would always wear their clothes when home alone, and kept my clothes in the attic when in a relationship.  I tried a man four times and did not like it.  Now that I finally resolved myself to being a woman(I have been dressing since age 5) and tired of the closet, I realize that I am a lesbian.  I have enjoyed a pre-op women but have not met a biological woman for dating yet.  I am 34-28-35 and am now taking HRT.

I'm not on any kind of hormones but I still consider myself bi (leaning towards attraction to men so would that consider me a gay guy?) I don't think if I ever had the chance to transition completely would I be aattracted to anyone else..maybe I don't know though.
