I've been for my 9th or 10th laser session today (which hurt like hell!) but usually any soreness and ouchiness is gone within a few hours.  And this time theres no redness at all 12 hours afterwards, but my throat is really really painful, especially when swallowing.  Is this normal?  I'm just a little worried because i've never had anything like this before.

Like a sore throat or on the outside?

Have you tried an ice pack and maybe some burn cream? Failing that if it does not go away perhaps it would be worth getting it checked out. Perhaps you have been burnt a bit, the lazer could have been on a higher setting than usual.  If so It will heal up. In the meantime try to get some pain relief I reckon and see how it goes.

Its like a sore throat, thats why i thought it so odd.  Like if it was on the outside it'd be understandable.
Ice cream helped, but then i felt fat lol, never mind.

Good luck Alice *hugs*

Maybe it is unrelated and you just have a sore throat - like a virus.

Fortunately ice-cream is non fattening for medicinal purposes  ;).

What a coincadence!  As I read this post my alarm went off to tell me it's time to get ready for electrolysis!  :(

I did laser too but unfortunately I have a fair amount of white hair that the beam didn't touch.  I prepare for both the same way.  LMX 5 lidociane cream on the area to be treated 1 hour before and another coat 20 minutes prior to the procedure;  2 naproxin (Alieve) 2 hours prior.  This lessens the discomfort during the procedure and the Alieve prevents swelling and inflammation after.  I use a 5% hydrocortisone cream afterwards, too.
