Hello, been lurking here for a very long time. I'm getting very close to my final surgeon choice. I'm currently leaning towards Dr. Brassard, but find myself wondering if I should do the hair removal or not. Since he says to either complete the proccess or don't do it at all. I'm sure that this subject has come up here and on other boards many many times before. My question is for the women who have gone to Dr. Brassard and opted not to do the hair removal. Did/do you have any visible hair in areas where there should be none? I'm trying to get some sort of idea about how often hair regrows after having had the good Dr. do the removal.

The idea of avoiding pain leading up to surgery is quite attractive, oh yeah there is the financial incentive as well not having to pay for hair removal ahead of time.

Thanks in advance for any input you may have,

Holly

Hi, Holly, welcome to Susan's. Please read and follow the Site Rules and take full advantage of features like Chat, Wiki, Links, etc where access can be found on the Home Page.

I have never heard, in eight years, of women having this problem with hair-regrowth after they had surgery with Brassard. It may have occurred, but I am aware of no one who has experienced the occurrence. The scraping is thorough and done by people who have done it for a long time, many times over.

Nice to have you 'uncloak' and join us. Enjoy your time here.

I'll echo that. I've asked around too, and haven't heard of any negative experiences.

Ok so I've read the rules (a few times) and am still a tad confused. In order to take full advantage of the features you mentioned is it just a matter of posting enough messages or am I missing somthing?

Thanks for such a speedy response. That's wonderful news, just what I was hoping.

Great News!, that probably settles it for me then since he was already atop my very short list.

Thanks,

Ya know, THAT is something I think we all neglect to inform newcomers of and yes, it can be very aggravating to not know what's what with posting, avatars, ranks, etc. Try here, Holly, and see if that doesn't answer most of your questions. It's posted on the open forum under "Announcements," but we don't automatically direct people there to find it.  :icon_redface:

So, sorry.
