Also a priority for next session, Furmansky said, would be bills to bar discrimination against the state's transgender residents and workers.
"There's really no good explanation for why the gender identity civil rights bill hasn't moved forward in the General Assembly," he said. "I consider that to be a travesty, as well as the fact that legislators scuttled an inheritance tax bill exempting domestic partners."
