Carmen's Place for Homeless Transgender Youth

http://homelessinamerica.blogspot.com/2008/06/carmens-place-for-homeless-transgender.html

This past Saturday, June 7th ABC News reported a brief but significant story about the care of the homeless in the New York City area. Under the direction of Fr. Beck (an Episcopal priest), a unique home has been founded. Carmen's Place takes in and cares for transgender homeless youth. Beck believes, "regardless of their shortcomings, these youth need the love and mercy of Christ extended to them, just as we all do." At Carmen's Place, the youth find a place to be loved and gently called to a living relationship with the Lord in His time and according to their capabilities to respond.
